Iwaki June 2011 trip - Latest news

We are in phase II of our earthquake and tsunami relief work and here are some pictures of our latest Iwaki trip, June 2011. It was great to have my two daughters go up with us. Suzy is back from nursing school in Brisbane for the next few weeks and our son John’s wedding July 29th.
The others who were with us were Carlos, one of our church members; Hara, Tomohiro, café Decision customer.

We all had a great trip!! Worked hard swinging a sludge hammer and picking up the cement blocks!! Good for all of us. The family whose house we worked with was structurally able to stand, but totally destroyed inside. The outside walls were all leaning and had to be torn down. We also visited a homeless shelter and talked with the few that were left there.

Many people really do not know where they will be going. Thank you all again for your love, prayers and support for the work in Sendai, Iwaki etc.
